Great relief for Salman Khan

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been acquitted by the Jodhpur court of violations of the Arms Act in 1998. Salman was present at the Supreme Judicial Court, Jodhpur district along with his sister Alveera and his lawyer, where he pronounced the verdict.

According to the verdict pronounced by the Jodhpur Magistrate, Salman is acquitted of all charges in the case of the Law of Arms against him in the alleged poaching of two black dollars.

"Salman Khan (has been) acquitted in the Arms Act case after the prosecution failed to provide conclusive evidence," Salman's lawyer told the media after the verdict.

A case against Salman was filed in October 1998 under the Weapons Act for its alleged use and possession of weapons with a license expired during the alleged two-dollar black poaching in the village of Kankani.

Salman's 0.22 rifle and revolver 0.32 had expired the licenses and cases were filed against him for the same under sections 3/25 and 3/27.

Of the four cases against Salman, he has already been acquitted in two cases of poaching by the high court, while a third case of poaching is in its final stage.
